All You Need Is Love...

Yup, that's what the Beatles sang. And I totally believe that if we truly loved those around us, this world would be a better place. Here's some beautiful new Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog. It's called Sending Love Specialty and it has glittery images all over it. Gorgeous! I made the fancy strip with the Scallop Trim Border punch from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I used my handy dandy Tiny Tags stamp set (in the clear option) to stamp love and hearts across it. There's a bit of satin ribbon behind that strip of white to show the scallops better. The white heart layer is the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit. This heart is gorgeous!!!! Love it! I punched another heart with my handheld punch. The flower is from With All My Heart and the tag is punched with my new medium jewelry tag punch. I used a fine crochet thread to tie the tag on the brad of the flower.

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.

New Punches Are FUN!!!

Check out this heart corner punch from Stampin' Up! There's also a heart border punch that coordinates with it. I used a 2 1/2" square piece of Whisper White here, but it would be better with a 2 3/8" square. This is another Gate Fold card. I've stamped the flower on the Bermuda Bay cardstock with Bermuda Bay ink. The flowers in the centers are stamped in Pumpkin Pie. Ice Rhinestone brads and Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain finish off the card. On the inside, I've put a piece of the DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog with houses and clouds on it. The colors on the Designer Series Paper coordinates with the colors on the card, of course.

Tote-Ally Tess Strikes Again!

I think this Tess girl is so cute! I've paired her with the Vintage Frames and Designer Papers Stack from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. This is a gate fold. I took a picture of the front, but it didn't turn out. I'll try to take another one soon. (When I can find some good lighting.) The heart was punched out with the new small heart punch...too fun!

Going Purple...

You know, I really had fun making this card in oranges, but after a reader told me that she would be CASEing the card in yellows, I got to thinking. Hmmmm...what WOULD that card look like in other monochromatic color combinations. Well, look how this one turned out! I love it! I changed up a couple of things to try out my new supplies. The polka dot background was made with my polka dot texturz folder and the butterflies were made with my new embosslit. Both new tools are from the amazing Occasions Mini Catalog. To see the Mini, just click on the link on the right.
And to make the card more dazzling, I used Dazzling Diamonds on the butterflies. I am totally loving these butterflies! I must use them again.

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.

Julie

Build A Bear Projects

I helped out in the first grade last month, making a gift for the parents for Christ- mas. This is what we came up with. I just love this SU! Build A Bear die! My 1st grader decorated this bear, then we made his footprint using the Ballet Blue Craft ink pad. I wrote "My 'Bear' Foot" under the footprint with my Basic Black Journaler and then my son wrote the message. I really love the way these turned out! When the class made them, every single bear was different! I had a bunch of shirts pants, skirts, hats, purses, etc. cut out and you would not believe the diversity in finished products. This was a great creative avenue for the kids and I love SU! for that opportunity.
I didn't have a chance to post this last month. My youngest son Zach's birthday was in Decem- ber and this is the card that I made for him. I used SU!'s Build A Bear Bear Bigz Die for the bear and mouth. The hat is from SU!'s Beary Boy Sizzlit. The clothes are from SU!'s Beary Essentials and the bat and glove are a retired Sizzix die. I clipped some Old Olive cardstock so that it would look like grass. The DSP is retired SU!

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station. I hope you found some Build A Bear inspiration here.

Monochromatic Challenge in Oranges

Yes, I am totally serious! I used this color combo for a color challenge on Stampin' Addicts number SACC36. At first I was a bit hesitant to use the oranges, but I really wanted to use Apricot Appeal. I don't usually use Pumpkin Pie and Really Rust, but I'm totally liking this combo. Very monochromatic, don't you think? Anyway, this card (or a very similar version) will be one of the make n takes for this month, so if your group doesn't have a workshop scheduled yet for January, call me ASAP so that we can get you on the calendar.

The flowers around the "F" are stamped in Apricot Appeal and some of them have been stamped off once. The Rhinestone Brad finishes off the flower nicely and the bow is Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Grosgrain attached with a mini glue dot.

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.

Well...This Is Embarrassing....

I can't believe it's been since Dec. 16th since I posted. Sorry about that! Christmas is a wonderful time, but I have to put the stamping away so that I can make it through the rest of the activities. So...here's my first sample of playing with my new stamp sets from the Occasions Mini Catalog, which is available, starting tomorrow, the 5th of January. Isn't she adorable???!!!! Her shirt, apron, slacks, handbag, and stamp are all paper-pieced. I just love how stamping on DSP and cutting it out means that I don't have to color. :-D I ordered this set with the clear stamps option...Yes! I placed my Stampin' Around Wheel and Paper Snips stamps on the same clear block (also sold by SU) and made my border on the scallop. So fun!

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station. I hope you find this year to be a huge blessing to you.

Blessings,
Julie
