Glass Glitter

Check out this glitter! It's the Silver Glass Glitter from the Holiday Mini Catalog which is available TOMORROW!!! The finish is supposed to tarnish a bit over time to give it a vintage look. It's also available in Champagne. Isn't it gorgeous????!!!!! Oh, and don't forget that fun sponged frame. The Vintage Frame stencil is 8 1/4 x 8 1/4, so it's large enough for your scrapbook pages and adjustable for your cards and smaller projects. I've also used the center frame and can't wait to show you how it looks. I sponged two different colors so that you could see how to step it up a notch.

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station. Feel free to leave me a note. I'd love to hear from you!

Blessings,
Julie

Crazy!!! Christmas Already?

No, it's not Christmas yet, but I did need to play with my Holiday Mini Catalog pre-order. Isn't this DSP adorable? The SU! Polka Dot texturz plate was used on the background Wild Wasabi and the snowflakes were punched out of Pink Pirouette and Whisper White. The greeting is from Season's Greetings.

This next card was made with the same package of DSP. The folding sides were cut with the Pennant XL die. The greeting is from Perfect Punches and the candy canes are from Cute Christmas, a new stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalog. The round tab punch, white gel pen, and white taffeta finish off the inside slider piece.

So, thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station once again.

Blessings to you!

I used my retired Speckles Jumbo wheel for the background, stamped the greeting on vellum, and stamped the basketball 3 times without re-inking. the front basketball was punched out with my 1 1/4" Circle punch. I hope he'll like it!

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.

Julie

Clean and Simple Makes It Easy!

The color is a bit off on this one (I really need a good photo spot inside the house!) but I hope you get the idea. This card is for the CAS81 challenge at Splitcoaststampers. Clean and Simple usually means a lot of white area showing, simple to duplicate, uncluttered design. I mass-produced these last night as thank yous for my DS's birthday gifts. I used Cute by the Inch stamp set, which is a Level 2 Hostess Set from Stampin' Up! The Turquoise grosgrain is retired, but this would be easy with any color. I might have to try it with my new Razzleberry grosgrain or my Marina Mist narrow taffeta. I think they'd both look stunning!

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.

Julie

Holiday Mini Catalogs Are GREAT!!!!

As crazy as it sounds, it really is time for the Holiday Mini Catalog. Some of you have received them in the mail already. Just look at these beautiful embossed snowflakes! Aren't they gorgeous?! It's a new embossing folder in the Holiday Mini. I also daubed Shimmerz paint on the snowflakes, but you can't really see it in the photo. That's just something that you'll want to see in person because it's a beautiful shimmer. I stamped Serene Snowflakes in the background and attached a 1/8" Taffeta bow in the corner to finish it off. Whisper White and Marina Mist are the colors.

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station!

Thank You Beary Much

Ok, this is not the best photo... just couldn't get the colors right. This is the thank you that my 7 yr old and I made for his friends who came to his b-day party. We used the retired Pawsitively Prints DSP, retired Green Galore, SU Scallop Oval Frame XL Die, and a lot of coloring with markers. The background color is Crumb Cake. I'm still experimenting with not being able to use Close to Cocoa... I sure do miss that color!

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station!

Happy, Happy Birthday Baby...

My wonderful "little" boy Nate turned 10 yesterday. My, oh my, how did those years fly by so quickly?! Anyway, he's a true electronics child. (He's been that way since he was 1 yr. old!) He loves video games, so I had to make a card of one of his favorite characters. I used this card for inspiration and then figured out how to make it. When you want a lesser curve, an example is the bottom of the hat, use a larger circle for the bottom. I used my Circle Scissors for the hat, visor, and face. Well, hope you enjoyed this one. I have a couple more cards to share this week... let's see if I can find time to get them posted while I'm preparing the kids to start school again.

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station!

Blessings,
Julie

Recipe: retired DSP, Circle Scissors, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch, 1 3/4" x 7/8" and 1 3/8" x 5/8" Oval punches, 1/2" and 3/4" Circle punches, Modern Label punch, blush cardstock with sponging on edges and cheeks.

I Got Carded!!! :-D

LOL! Nope, not what you were thinking... but I am the lucky and blessed recipient of this beautiful thank you card. The sender is my wonderful friend and customer Bri, who has blessed me with her sunny personality and love of all things hand-crafted. Didn't she do a lovely job on this card? I really love the flower & button in place of the 4th square. She used the lovely, but retired :( Cottage Wall DSP. (Just so you know, the tomato plant is keeping the card from blowing off of the deck railing onto the ground far below.)
And here I am, playing with the new colors again. This card showcases the beautiful new color Daffodil Delight. It's a bit richer than the old Summer Sun color. The layout is another challenge from Stampin Addicts, number 57. What I really love about the Stampin Addicts sketch challenges is that they're quite simple to start with and you can embellish them any way your heart desires. That way, you don't have to have a busy, super-layered card if you don't want it. I've used two different background stamps on this card to create extra depth, without it taking over the whole card.

recipe: Thoughts and Prayers stamp set; Teahouse and Sanded Background Stamps; Certainly Celery, Elegant Eggplant, Daffodil Delight, and Confetti White cardstocks; Top Note XL Die, Daffodil 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Retired Orchard Originals Ribbon.

Well, thanks for stopping by once again. I hope you've enjoyed this trip to Julie's Stamping Station.

Blessings,
Julie

What a "Tea"rific Stamp Set!

When I saw this stamp set in the new catalog, I knew it was a "must have - gotta have it" stamp set! It has tea fixin's and coffee fixin's ... perfect for just about anyone. I used Stampin' Addicts' Sketch Challenge 54 as a start, but adjusted it to the stamp set. I love the new Marina Mist color, show on the bottom of this card. This will be one of the cards that we make at tomorrow night's workshop. My stamping buddy Bri is hosting. Speaking of Bri, come back tomorrow to see the adorable thank you card that she sent to me.

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.

Blessings,
Julie

....Since July 1st????!!!!!!

Oh my word!!! I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted. So sorry! We've been having so much summer fun that I guess I forgot to post. That, and I haven't had much time to stamp. But now I'm breaking out my new goodies from the new SU! catalog. This adorable set is called Baby Bundle and I LOVE it! I used the Build A Bear Pawsitively Prints II DSP and sponged around the main piece with So Saffron. The onesie and booties were watercolored on watercolor paper with an aquapainter and reinkers. The polka dots were made with the embossing folder and then sponged over with Certainly Celery ink. I used the SASC61 sketch challenge on Stampin' Addicts for the layout inspiration.
This card also started with a sketch challenge from Stampin' Addicts. I used SASC60 and my new Growing Green stamp set to jump start this one. The DSP is Woodland Walk and it's gorgeous! After stamping and coloring the images with my markers, I covered the whole piece of Vanilla cardstock with Versamark and then sprinkled Iridescent Ice embossing powder on it. After heating it to melt the embossing powder, the colors on the stamped image are deeper and beautiful. I wish you could see it IRL, because it looks much better than in the photo.

Well, thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station once again. I'll try to have another post soon.

Blessings,
Julie
