Uhhhh... Here's Father's Day ... a Bit Late!

Yes I'm a bit behind schedule here on the blog.  Here are the Father's Day cards that I made for my Dad and my Father-In-Law.  They both use the By the Tide stamp set.  I'm overjoyed that this set made it from the Spring Catalog into the new Idea Book!  It's a wonderfully versatile set and well worth purchasing.  Just think of the fun scrapbooking pages and masculine cards you can make with it.

By The Tide, Island Indigo, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, Real Red
This first card is based on a card that I found on Pinterest.  I've changed up the colors so that it has a bit more pop to it.  The lobster was hand cut so that I could pop it up on top of the layers.  The linen thread is a fun addition to finishing off the card.
This card was another one based off of a Pinterest card.  The fish and seahorse were colored in with markers and the background of the sea was sponged with a few different colors.  Again, the Linen Thread comes in handy for adding that little bit of interest to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station once again.  I hope you're enjoying your summer.  We sure are!

Blessings,
Julie

  1. Beautiful cards, Julie! Amazing job hand cutting that lobster! My hand aches just thinking about it! ;) The linen thread pairs perfectly with the feel of both cards.
