Last Night's Workshop Projects

I had the delight of stamping with some great friends again last night.  What a treat for me!  Oh!  And I got to hold a newborn for a few minutes, too.  Double bonus!!!!  :-D  I kept these projects on the simple side since it was a school night and the hostess had kids to put to bed.  This Father's Day card was inspired by the Stampin' Addicts sketch challenge SASC97.  The DSP did the rest for me!  I love not having to come up with a color combo!  The DSP is Greenhouse Gala, the surfboards and shell are from Summer Splash (Summer Mini), and the greeting is from the retired set All Holidays.  Colors are Early Espresso, Real Red, Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze and Tangerine Tango.
And this little bird was so well received by last night's guests!  The photo just doesn't look like the card does IRL.  Bummer!  I used the Sunny Garden DSP, Poppy Parade and So Saffron cardstock, and Poppy Parade, So Saffron, and Peach Parfait inks.
And this card was a lot of fun!  I'm so sad that this Teahouse background is going away!  The flowers are from Simply Said and the saying is from Because I Care.  Colors are Certainly Celery, Real Red, and Very Vanilla.  DSP is Greenhouse Gala.  I scored my main cardstock at 2 1/2" instead of 2 3/4".  I like that because it makes the easel stand up a bit straighter.

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station once again.

Blessings,
Julie

Punch Art CASE'd Kitty

I can't take credit for this adorable scene.  I CASE'd it from Jackie Topa.  I totally fell in love with the idea that a cat would be hanging on the edge of the fish bowl.  And how clever of her to use the octopus for the underwater plants.  I used the 1" and 1/2" circle punches, the 5 petal punch, the large oval punch and a sponge and marker for the kitty.  The fish bowl was made out of vellum and cut with my Circle Scissors Plus.  I had to have the fish bowl resting on something, so I cut a couple of strips to make a table.

Well, thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station once again.  And now that I've posted two days in a row, I might just be on a role!  :-D

Blessings,
Julie

Battenberg Lace Dress for Inspiration

Yes, I'm finally back!  It's been crazy!  I keep hoping that the next week will be a bit more calm ... I think that will happen in the middle of the summer!  Anyway, I decided to play an inspiration challenge on SCS.  We went to a website called Spotted Moth to pick out an item for inspiration.  I chose the Battenberg Lace Dress.  (I love the nautical look!)  The lacy pennant was made with my new Doily Triple Punch, the Elegant Thank You was punched with the wide oval punch, and the flowers are from the retired triple flower punch. The colors are Navy and White.  Hope you've enjoyed this.  I am trying to get another post up tomorrow.  You'll like that one ... let's just say it has some punch art!  :-)

Blessings,
Julie
