Happy Birthday to Rain

This card was made for my friend Lorraine, who had a birthday last week. I just love her sense of humor and her Brit accent. She's such a wonderful and loving person. Since she's so wonderful, I wanted to make her a wonderful card. Her favorite color is Lilac, so I made sure to use some of it on her card. After running some vellum cardstock through the Big Shot (yes! the big shot again...not a broken record, just a really, REALLY fun tool!) I sponged Almost Amethyst over all of the petals and then highlighted some areas with Lavender Lace. I used the eyelet border punch on the edges and added some white organza ribbon. Done! Have I mentioned how much I love that Big Shot??? Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I can't help sharing my love of the wonderful effects you can create with it.

Supplies: Sincere Salutations stamp set, Almost Amethyst and Vellum Cardstocks, Almost Amethyst and Lavender Lace ink, Eyelet Border Punch, Sponge Daubers, White Organza Ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Stamping Station. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Julie,
This is such an ELEGANT card. I haven't tried using the embossing template for the rose on vellum.... hmmmmm think I'll try it tomorrow.

  3. I love your vellum and the roses! Gorgeous!!

  4. What an absolutely gorgeous card...the vellum is sooo delicate and the lilac flowers and how you scalloped the edges!!! Thanks for the inspiration...I have got to try one of these!!!
