This is a workshop project for the next month. It utilized the Up, Up & Away stamp set and the new rectangle frames embossing folder. I really love this stamp set. It's so much fun and very versatile. Just think of the possibilities: masculine, feminine, juvenile, baby, congrats, etc. Just change up the colors and you have a great card! After coloring on the balloon with your markers, stamp and cut out, and apply with a dimensional. Oh, and how do you like this color combo: Concord Crush and Pool Party? Isn't it fun? I think it's very cheerful.
Well, that's it for now. Happy stamping and thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station!

Do It For Breast Cancer Research
There's just a few days left to buy this wonderful stamp set Strength and Hope and donate to breast cancer research at the same time. Stampin' Up! is donating $2 for every stamp set of this that is sold. 1 in every 5 women is diagnosed with breast cancer. Please help the cause.
This card was one of the projects from last week's workshop. I'm really loving the new In Colors and I think they go beautifully together. This card features Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder. I started with sketch challenge #103 for the layout. The beautiful designer paper that I bought with the August special (buy 3, get one FREE) helped me plan the colors.
And this is another project from last week's workshop. It features the new Pennant Parade stamp set and the coordinating XL die, which has pennants and doily circles. I love this die! It's hard to see, but the background has the new stripes embossing folder used on it. The cone is a pennant punched out and the ice cream scoops are the frosting on the cupcake punch. (Yes, I did notice that my scoops are layered wrong, so I switched them before the workshop.) We used Crystal Effects on the cherry to make it glossy and a bit raised. The circles are the 1" and 1 1/4", looking great layered together. Sketch Challenge 105 gave me the start of the idea and the designer paper (Yup! Part of the August special!) gave me some great ice cream colors. BTW, the blue ice cream is bubble gum flavored. Just thought you might want to know that. :-)
Well, thanks for stopping by once again. Maybe with school starting, I'll have a little more time to post more often.
Blessings,
Julie

More New Shtuff :-)
I wanted to try out this new Flirtatious DP. Isn't it pretty? And the Pumpkin Pie doily is also from the same set of DP. For this fun card, All I had to do was stamp and punch the sentiment, punch the frame of the sentiment, and then add the ribbon. How easy is that?!
And this little tag is made with the new frames die that will be available in the Holiday Mini Catalog. It's supposed to be for the windows of an advent calendar, but I can see that I'm going to have a lot of fun using it for other projects! the cute balloon is from the Up, Up & Away stamp set.
And the blues are new In Colors. I really like them, especially paired with Pumpkin Pie. I think it's a very lively combo. I haven't gotten around to buying the plain white Baker's Twine yet, so I had to use crochet thread. I think it worked ok, but I'd prefer the Baker's Twine.
So, what other uses can you think of for the fun frames on this die? I'm intending to use it for scrapbooking and cardmaking, but what other uses can we come up with? I'd love to hear your ideas!
Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.

Playing with the new stuff!!!
Yes! I finally had time to play with some of my new stuff. I also put two challenges into this card. The first was by my wonderfully creative friend Joanne, who posted CC336, a color challenge of Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette, and Sahara Sand. So soft and pretty! The second was this week's sketch challenge SC346. I really like the end result of the two paired together. Of course, I wanted to use my new stamp sets Simply Soft and Delightful Dozen, and this worked so well! Yes, I also added the new and delightful polka dot brads. See the sparkles on the flowers? That is the new SU! product Dazzling Details. It's a very fine glue that has iridescent sparkles in it. Yes, I know that there are other companies that have something similar, but I really like the thinness of the applicator so that you can highlight specifically small details. I also used my new 1" square punch (I'm so glad that we finally have one of those!!!) and my postage punch. The ribbon is Pretty in Pink, but let's not tell anyone that detail. They don't really need to know, do they? :-D

The New Ronald McDonald House Set is So Cute!!!!
Just look at this adorable snail! Isn't he cute?! I stamped him in StazOn Black and then stamped the birthday hat over him. Although it's hard to see (unless you click on the pic to make it larger), I've put Crystal Effects on the Snail and hat so that it will puff and shine. The presents on the inside of the Easel Card also have Crystal Effects on them, which is a lot easier to apply if you let it dry before cutting out the image. The color combo is one that I don't think I would have found by myself, but I like it. It's the SACC104 challenge of Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, and Chocolate Chip. The front of the card's layout is SC343, which I made into the easel card. (See the link above for directions or book a workshop with me!) I made the background "flower" out of 1" circles, glued onto a 1 3/4" circle. So, what do you think? Oh, and I forgot to mention that this card (actually, another version with more layers) went to my wonderful upline whose birthday was in June.

Baby Girl Pram
Made for Inspiration Challenge #295, I found an adorable picture of a rabbit and elephant which inspired the colors. I know you can't really see it in this photo, but the pram image is sprayed with Vanilla Shimmer Spritz. I just LOVE the way the spray makes the image glimmer. This is a card for our interim pastor and his wife who just became grandparents. I'm going to give it to them tomorrow at church, but I'm concerned for their granddaughter. She was admitted into the hospital last night because of lost weight. So little to be having trouble already. I'm praying for little Montana and I'd love it if you could pray for her recovery, too. Thanks, stamping friends.
Blessings,
Julie
