Inspiration and Three Amigas Challenges In One
Well, I'm on time for the Inspiration Challenge on SCS, but had to wait until the end of the week to make my Three Amigas Weekly Challenge ...sigh... so here is my submission for both! I was inspired by this card. I chose to just use the colors and the theme of outlines. The Three Amigas Weekly Challenge was to use a non-favorite color. I do have a few. I never use teal, it's a difficult color for me to come up with combinations for. Here's proof that it works to look at photos, magazine pages, and the great outdoors for color combo inspiration! If you'd like to play along on the TAWC, just make a card, post it online and post a comment here with the link. Mark it TAWC2. Or post it on splitcoaststampers and use TAWC2 in the key words.
This is the card that I made with it, using my new Fifth Avenue Floral. I LOVE this stamp set! Look at what a beautiful card it is, and it's super easy to make! No fuss, the kind that you can pump out in 5 minutes. We'll be making this card at Kelly's workshop, coming up this next Saturday.
Supplies: Tangerine Tango, Taken With Teal, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White cardstock. Tangerine Tango, Taken With Teal, abd Chocolate Chip classic ink, Scallop Circles #2 Bigz Die, Big Shot, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 3/8" Chocolate Grosgrain.
Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station!

Another new stamp set that I LOVE!!
O what a happy set this is! It's called Branch Out. You stamp the tree, then decide what else it needs. I added leaves in 3 different colors, a tire swing, bird house, and a red bird. I sponged the grass and the sky, then called it a card! The texture plate used on the Artichoke and Kraft is Grass from Fiskars. I can hardly wait to get my hands on the SU! texture plates next month. I used Happy Everything for the sentiment, pierced a line underneath the words, sponged a bit of Artichoke over the texture and used up some retired Vintage Brads. You can bet that I'll be using this set more often!
Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.

Two Posts in One Day!
This card is for a weekly challenge that I participate in with Sharon and Joanne. This week is to CASE (copy and steal everything) a card out of the new catalog. I chose a card on pg. 46. Of course I didn't have the new stamps, so had to make do with what I had. The flowers are from the new stamp set Sweet Stems and the flower pot is the round tab punch with Totally Tabs stamped on it. The colors are Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, Mellow Moss, and Very Vanilla. Warm Wishes is from the Hugs and Wishes stamp set. Fun to CASE a card once in awhile instead of coming up with your own ideas all of the time.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting the Stamping Station!

Julie
Sneak Peek of SAB - Possible Idea for the Tea Party
I folded my Pink Pirouette cardstock in half, then placed on the Top Note Die with the fold of the cardstock just below the top perforations. I repeated that with the Designer Paper from Sale-A-Bration. (Yes, this is a sneak peek!) I cut along the perforated line on the Designer Paper and smoothed out any roughness with my sanding block. The white greeting is a SAB stamp set - isn't it cute???!!! It's called Yummy. I love this one. I stamped it in Whisper White Craft after rubbing my Embossing Buddy across it. I sprinkled White Embossing Powder over it and heated until melted. Next, I used my cute embosslit for the Closes to Cocoa and Pink Pirouette flowers. I used a couple of Mini Glue Dots on the backs to adhere them to the DP, tied a bow and attached that with a Mini Glue Dot. Voila! A very simple and sweet card. This would also double great for a bag topper for Valentine's Day. Ok, off to cut the cardstock for this swap. Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.

Another Award!
I was sent this award by my wonderful friend, Joanne, aka sleepyinseattle! She's so sweet! I love her stamped creations and how she's able to pump out so much...amazing! Joanne, can I be you when I grow up? She sent me this awhile ago, but that was before I was following a lot of blogs. So, I'm sorry Joanne for the delay, but thank you for the honor!
Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person or persons who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let each person know they’ve been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.
Ok, so here are the 6 random things about me:
1. I love to read. My most recent favorite is "The Yada Yada Prayer Group" by Neta Jackson.
2. My husband calls me the Christmas Queen. I have about 26 boxes of Christmas decorations, most of which are for my Dept. 56 Dickens Village.
3. I've had the honor of preparing some programs for funerals in our church recently. It fills me with a great sense of gravity and service, because I want it to be something special and to make the load that the family is carrying lighter.
4. I have a hard time using the color More Mustard in my stamping creations. I'm trying to get over it, LOL.
5. I used to have 40+ house plants, but now my time is taken between stamping and the computer.
6. I'm a recovering OCD person. I used to have to have all of my CD's in genre, then by artist, then in chronological order. My 3 sons cured me of that one after they pulled them all down hundreds of times! Now, there's no order in my life!
Here are the blogs that I'm tagging:
OK! There you go. Now I have to let everyone know.....
Blessings,
Julie
Awards! Cool!
How cool is this? Julie Temple sent me these awards - it totally made my day! I especially like the Fabulous award because it reminds me of a great new stamp set that is seriously high on my wish list!
So here are the rules:
First, list 5 addictions of mine. (only five???!!! Oiy!)
1. My computer!
2. Rubber Stamps (uh...yeah...like you couldn't tell LOL!)
3. Playing Games. I love board, card, computer, Wii,.... My newest love is Wii Fit. My current online fav is Coffee Rush at Big Fish Games.
4. Singing and Music. It lightens my spirit. I love to listen to Contemporary Christian music because the words repeat in my head and helps me praise God all day long. It's a great attitude adjustor. I find myself singing or humming softly, even in stores. (I do get a lot of heads turning my way, like people aren't used to seeing others be visibly joyful or something.)
5. Camping. I'm not a dirt or backpack camper. We have a pop-up tent trailer. I like to go places that have beautiful grass. That way the floor of the trailer stays decently clean and I can walk around barefoot. Maybe walking around barefoot should be one of my top 5's, because I even garden barefoot! (Gross when I step on a slug.) Camping is even better when we go with family, which happens at least twice a year.
Now I need to pass on the awards to 5 deserving blogs, link them, and let them know:
1. Joanne - she's a wonderful stamping friend. I do love our stamping playdates and her amazing talent helps me to reach a little farther in my creations.
2. Sharon - my wonderful & fun upline. It amazes me that she has any time to stamp and be an upline - she's crazy busy with her family. I don't know how she manages.
3. Diane - I love her stamping ideas. I love her blog. I've never met her, but the emails we've exchanged make me think she's very sweet.
4. Barb - My wonderful online friend who's been through so much and still finds some time to stamp and blog. I admire her perseverance.
5. Janet - I've met her once and exchanged emails with her. I love her stamping. We're sidelines, but live in different states.
Wow! It wasn't easy just listing 5. I could go on and on. Now I'm going to go let these wonderful people know about their awards.
Blessing,
Julie
Frosty and New Sweet Stems Stamp Set
Do you ever find yourself not using a certain color? My "not" color is mustard, so I decided to challenge myself to use it. This card and the next will both have mustard elements. I stamped the new Sweet Stems stamp set in Basic Black on the background Whisper White and then colored them in with my Stampin' Write Ruby Red and More Mustard markers. The sentiment is from Hugs and Wishes in Ruby Red. I punched it out with the Key Tag punch and the oval behind it with the Wide Oval punch. I scraped the edges of both punches on the ink pads for a bit of dimension. The Designer Paper behind the images is from the Level 1 Hostess Pack of the last catalog. (There are new colors in this catalog and I LOVE them!) The center panel is the opposite side of the DP. After putting it all together, I thought it needed just a bit of something, so I picked up my Black Stampin' Write Journaler to create a faux stitching look. Do you like it?
Well, thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station again. I'd love to hear from you.
Blessings,
Julie

Easy To Alter Card Layout
So this is what it looks like with the Kind Thoughts and Warm Words stamp sets. I love Not Quite Navy, a beatiful and rich color, and paired with the Bashful Blue and Vanilla, it has an elegant, fun look. The Scallop Circle Punch coordinates so well with the center swirl and I LOVE the Ice Rhinestone Brads. We used our paper snips to cut out the butterfly. I hightly recommend these scissors, since they make cutting paper a breeze - way better than the cheap scissors I bought at the local craft store. I'd love to see what you can do with this layout. Post a link here or send me an email with it attached. And thanks for sharing!

More From the Love You Much Bundle
Here's a card that we made at Saturday's workshop. I've added some details that were left out for time's sake. The original didn't have all of the cute little dots, the library clip, and the ribbon. The scallop is made from 1/2" circles lined up and glued to the back of the designer series paper. Isn't that paper cute???!!! And talk about an easy card to create, since the color scheme is already figured out by the designer paper. I love this stamp set and the coordinating punch. What a great bundle! And the price of the bundle saves you $10.
Supplies: Love You Much stamps, Heart to Heart Punch, Candy Lane Designer Paper, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red Cardstocks, Riding Hood Red Classic Ink Pad, Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink, and Certainly Celery Stampin' Write Markers, 1/2" Circle Punch, Library Clip, Riding Hood Red Taffeta
