Paper Piecing Bargello Style

My June Stampin' Success magazine from Stampin' Up! had a fun idea. Why not use the Bargello needlepoint style for paper crafting? On this card, I used my Neighborhood DSP from the SAB catalog, cut 3" x 1/4" strips plus one 3" x 1/2" strip to make this interesting background paper. I really like it! I wish it wasn't quite so sunny outside when I took the picture so that you could see the DSP better. The baby carriage image is from Fun & Fast Notes and the baby is from All in the Family. There are large polka dots on the Pretty in Pink background piece, made with the texture plate. I think this will make a great baby card for a couple of customers/friends who just had baby girls.
Want to see this in person? Give me a buzz or drop me a line. I'd love to get together with you!
Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.
Blessings,

Tumbling Baby

I made this quite a while ago, but have never shared it with you. I was having fun with the All in the Family stamp set and my square punch. The cool thing is that you just stamp 4 babies and then punch them at different angles. The film strip is made with the double rectangle punch. As you go across the black cardstock, you line up the last rectangle with the punch and keep punching across. That way it stays pretty even. The word "baby" is from a retired stamp set, sorry that I don't remember which one. I colored the baby with my pink stampin' write markers.

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station. Have a wonderful evening!

Blessings,
Julie
