Wedded Bliss

Embellished Events, Everything Eleanor, Petite Pairs
Yes, wedded bliss.  That is what a daughter of our church was just blessed with.  As a community, we celebrated with her at a bridal shower.  I just love those occasions!  Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to this one, but sent the gift along.  Yes, the gift is the card.  Oh, first I have to tell you about the front here.  Well, the circle was stamped with the Everything Eleanor stamp after I markered only the outside.  I didn't want the lines on the inside.  The bells are from the Embellished Events stamp set.  They were first inked in VersaMark, then inked in Crumb Cake, then stamped down.  I used my Iridescent Ice embossing powder to make it show up darker and shiny.  The doily sizzlit is such a nice frame for these stamps.  Best Wishes is from the Petite Pairs stamp set.

And then the inside.  yes, that is a gift card holder as part of the card.  I saw that someone made a card out of a 12 x 5 1/2 piece of cardstock.  Well, I figured this would be a lot easier.  I took a 3" wide piece of cardstock and scored it at 1/2", 1 1/2", & 2 1/2".  After that I punched an extra long slit with my word window punch.  The edges are attached to both sides of the inside of the card with Sticky Strip.  I also put a bit of Sticky Strip next to the opening holding of the gift card so that it would tightly hold the card.  So, what do you think?  I kinda like it.  :-)  This way the gift cards don't slide all over or fall out of a pocket.

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.  Many fun hours of crafting to you!

Blessings,
Julie

Beautiful Butterflies

Pool, Gumball, Red, Marina, Eggplant, Mustard, Razzleberry
Greetings!  Had to share this one with you.  I got this layout off of Pinterest and the guests at Saturday's workshop loved it.  Yes, I'm aware that the greeting (Petite pairs) is smudged a little ... I used it as a lesson in how to stamp before folding so that you get a clear image.  :-)  Only the Marina Mist and More Mustard butterflies are stamped with the Papillon Potpourri stamps.  I left the rest of them plain to save on some time with the option of the guests using embossing folders on the plain butterflies if they wanted to dress up the card.  Seemed like this was a favorite of the workshop because it was so simple and lovely.  Aren't those great colors?  This just goes to show that the Stampin' Up! Butterfly Punch and Papillon Potpourri stamp set are wonderfully versatile and easy to use. I didn't think I needed this set and now I use it at almost every workshop!  Go figure.  Anyway, let me know what you like to use your butterflies for.  Would love to see your projects.

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station!

Delicate Wisteria Doilies

I'm loving this doily stamp set and the wonderfully coordinated DP.  These colors are Pink Pirouette and Wisteria Wonder.  We made this at the last workshop and the guests really seemed to like it.  The inside of the doily is accented with a punched doily in Pink Pirouette and a (new) Mini Silver Brad.  Oh, how I love those things!  Oh, and see those little pink doilies on the greeting?  Those are the same pattern as the DP on the right.  So fun!  For this card, we used the Wide Oval, Ribbon Border, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, 1 3/4" Circle, and 3/4" Circle punches.  Sounds like a lot, but it's really an easy and quick card.

Well, thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.  I hope you have a great and safe Labor Day Weekend.

Blessings,
Julie

More New Shtuff :-)

I wanted to try out this new Flirtatious DP.  Isn't it pretty?  And the Pumpkin Pie doily is also from the same set of DP.  For this fun card, All I had to do was stamp and punch the sentiment, punch the frame of the sentiment, and then add the ribbon.  How easy is that?!
And this little tag is made with the new frames die that will be available in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It's supposed to be for the windows of an advent calendar, but I can see that I'm going to have a lot of fun using it for other projects!  the cute balloon is from the Up, Up & Away stamp set.
And the blues are new In Colors.  I really like them, especially paired with Pumpkin Pie.  I think it's a very lively combo.  I haven't gotten around to buying the plain white Baker's Twine yet, so I had to use crochet thread.  I think it worked ok, but I'd prefer the Baker's Twine.
So, what other uses can you think of for the fun frames on this die?  I'm intending to use it for scrapbooking and cardmaking, but what other uses can we come up with?  I'd love to hear your ideas!

Thanks for stopping by the Stamping Station.

Blessings,
Julie
